As part of the BCI’s Seminar Series, we are pleased to welcome Dr Sarah Blagden from the University of Oxford to present at the BCI on Thursday 29th November.

The seminar is titled: ‘RNA Binding Proteins, the next frontier in cancer therapeutics?’
Abstract: RNA binding proteins (RBPs) are emerging as critical regulators of cancer hallmarks as they bind, stabilise and protect the multiple mRNAs involved. Their lack of traditional kinase domains and their reputation as canonical players in normal cell function has earned RBPs the reputation of being undruggable. Using LARP1 as an example, Dr Blagden will summarise this interesting area of research and its potential impact for the clinic.
The seminar will be held in the Lister and Young Seminar Room, 12.30pm - 13.30pm.
If you would like to arrange to talk with Dr Blagden, please contact Faraz Mardakheh (email@example.com)
