SUMMARY:Vector Construction Workshop with Q&A
DESCRIPTION:VectorBuilder is a global leader in gene delivery technologies. As a trusted partner for thousands of labs and biotech/pharma companies across the globe\, VectorBuilder offers a full spectrum of gene delivery solutions covering virtually all research and clinical needs from bench to bedside. \nTheir free Vector Design Studio employs a highly user-friendly\, modular design principle. It enables even novice researchers to easily design custom vectors with just a few mouse clicks\, and then order their vectors online along with related services such as virus packaging and plasmid preparation. \nDan Rosenthal from VectorBuilder is holding an exhibition in the John Vane Science foyer between 1-5 PM\, Wednesday 9th November. You will be able to ask any questions and find out more details about their service. Between 2-2:30 PM\, he will be hosting an interactive Vector Construction Workshop followed by a Q&A in the L&Y Seminar Room (tea and coffee included). This will be an opportunity to explore their design platform and deduce the feasibility of outsourcing molecular reagents.

SUMMARY:BioSkryb Genomics Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to welcome BioSkryb Genomics for an exhibition in the John Vane Science Centre Lobby on Wednesday 31st January\, 9am-1pm. \nBioSkryb Genomics enables the study of DNA & RNA of single cells by providing a revolutionary new method for whole genome amplification (WGA) called Primary template-directed amplification (PTA). PTA improves genome coverage and calling of variants\, allowing users to profile individual cells to interrogate heterogeneity and clonality in primary samples. To this end\, BioSkryb provides kits for single-cell whole genome amplification (ResolveDNA) and more recently\, whole genome and whole transcriptome (ResolveOME) analysis from the same cell. Full-length transcripts are also captured\, providing information on splice variants\, fusion genes and TCR/BCR analysis capabilities which is missed by 3’ approaches. \n If you have an interest in single-cell or low-input profiling in your experiments or in general\, please see Account Manager\, James Freimuller on the day. \n Alternatively\, if you are unavailable at that time\, you can email james.freimuller@bioskryb.com to arrange a meeting. \n
