On Sunday 2 August, our team of BCI riders took part in the 2015 Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 race, known to many as “the greatest mass-participation cycling event in the world”.
Cheered on by our BCI volunteers and crowds of spectators, our riders embarked on the gruelling 100 mile London - Surrey bike ride, all in aid of the Barts Cancer Institute. A massive thank you and congratulations to our riders who all made it across the finish line in excellent time.

Together they have already raised over £4,000 to support vital cancer research at the BCI with donations still coming in! You can view the progress of all our Sports Challenges fundraisers and make your donation here.
Happy BCI Riders and Volunteers
As the action came to a successful close, here is what some of the riders and volunteers had to say.
Hanlon Tong & Luke Marshall (cyclists):
“Thanks for letting us ride for Barts Cancer Institute over the weekend! It was a great day for ride and we enjoyed every painful minute of it and the beers afterwards. We really appreciate the valuable opportunity”.
“I had such a great time volunteering for the BCI on Sunday - the atmosphere was electrifying and spectacular! I would definitely do it again next year. I am so proud of all 9 BCI cyclists who managed to complete the entire course despite hot weather and leg-testing climbs!”
