Overview
My PhD project focuses on a cell line model of chemotherapy resistance in colorectal cancer, investigating the potential mechanisms underlying this drug resistance development. My particular focus is on the potential contribution to resistance of chromosomal instability (CIN), which enables large-scale genomic changes in cancer cells and may enable them to more rapidly adapt to and overcome the effects of chemotherapy treatment.
