Overview

My project investigates how B cell dynamics contribute to melanoma progression by integrating multiplex imaging, spatial transcriptomics, and computational pathology. Using Multiplex Cell DIVE and spatial transcriptomic data from primary and metastatic melanoma samples, we will characterise the relationship between extracellular matrix (ECM) architecture, B cell states, localisation, and tertiary lymphoid structure (TLS) formation. We will then develop deep learning models to predict B cell presence, subtype, and function from histology images and evaluate their prognostic value for patient survival, with a particular focus on how ECM remodelling influences B cell behaviour and melanoma progression.
